Weekend Outing at Gurney Paragon Mall!

A few weekends back, I went back to Penang because I was feeling homesick and to celebrate my baby sister's birthday. On the Saturday, I had a half day outing to catch up with my brother,Henry at the new premier lifestyle shopping mall in Penang, Gurney Paragon Mall.

Gurney Paragon Mall is the newly built shopping mall in Penang which was opened on July last year. It is located next to Gurney Plaza, along Gurney Drive, a place commonly known not only to locals but foreigners as well. The building architecture was inspired by the former St.Joseph's Novitiate. They have brought many new brands to Penang like H&M, Victoria Secret's, Micheal Kors, Sephora, Rabeanco, La Martina and Sam's Groceria.

Our first stop was at Times Bookstore because my brother loves book a lot. I really wonder how come his sister doesn't loves books? :P Why am I not a book-person? Times Bookstore is located at the fifth floor, beside Bentley Music. They provides book lovers of all ages and interests a wide selection of books of all genres, magazine, stationery and multimedia.  

My dream is to travel around the world. Paris is on top of the list!

The supervisor told us that Times Bookstore is celebrating this year's World Book Day from 6th March to 31th March 2014. World Book Day is a celebration of book and reading all over the world, designated by UNESCO as a world celebration and marked in over 100 countries across the globe. Special promotions are given to their Times Privilege Card(TPC) members as well as non members for books on the highlighted rack. They have prepared limited edition Times Water Bottle, Grandluxe Notebook and World Book Day voucher for their customers with nett purchase of RM100 at Times Bookstore.

Henry and I were so lucky that day because we get to meet Andrew Tan 陈势安 when we were on the way to meet our friends! Andrew Tan 陈势安 was having an autograph signing event to promote his latest album "非你不可" at the ground floor of Gurney Paragon Mall.

Finally it's dinner time! My little stomach was already making noise. We ended up choose to have our dinner at newly opened, Qian Ri Ramen Restaurant. It is located at fifth floor, outdoor of Gurney Paragon Mall. Qian Ri Ramen is a Asian Fusion Restaurant(China and Hong Kong). They inspires to serve healthy and nutritious homemade dishes.

It's one of my favourite appetizer! When the crab meat on top of the salad and tobiko on top of the crab meat...... just too yummy!

Love the part of the pork they had chosen. Trust me, stuff the whole piece in your mouth at once and you will definitely give a thumbs up to the chewy fried pork!

Qian Ri Ramen Restaurant has special 8 flavours homemade wheat flour ramen. Their ramen are served with vegetarian soup. Most importantly, no preservative, sugar and colouring added in their homemade ramen. It's definitely suitable for those who opt for healthy and vegetarian food!  They have mix vegie ramen, spinach ramen, chili ramen, wheat ramen, black sesame ramen, beetroot ramen, green tea ramen and polygoni multiflori ramen. You can choose the ramen based on your preference.

Overall, Gurney Paragon Mall is a nice place to hang out with friends and family. I had a great time catching up with my brother and new friends, Megumi and JK. I get to escape from my scary tests and assignments thanks to the outing :D
